After the regime change in Afghanistan and the closure of schools and universities for girls, the country’s education system faced a deeper crisis. This situation delivered a severe blow to an already fragile structure that had been grappling with the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In response to this crisis, we decided to establish free educational classes specifically for girls above the sixth grade. This educational package included subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, aiming to support those who had been unable to continue their education due to school closures and were struggling to complete their interrupted curriculum.
Highly qualified teachers with bachelor’s and master’s degrees taught the classes. Both the students and their parents expressed special appreciation for the exceptional quality of education these sessions provided.
In addition to their academic classes, these students participated in weekly seminars on topics such as education, motivation, social awareness, and human rights. These seminars offered young girls a valuable opportunity to not only enhance their academic knowledge but also to become more aware of their rights and roles in society, preparing them for a brighter and more confident future.
This initiative demonstrates a committed effort to protect girls’ right to education and contribute to the creation of a society where everyone has access to education.
