Biography
Mohammad Ahmadi
Mohammad Ahmadi, son of Ahmad Ali, graduated in Mathematics and Physics from the Faculty of Science, Herat, in 2015. With over nine years of distinguished experience in the field of education, he is recognized as an active and prominent figure in teaching and enhancing educational quality in private schools and educational centers in Afghanistan, particularly in the provinces of Ghor and Herat.
He began his professional career in 2016 as a teacher at Rahnaward Noor High School, where he taught for three years. In addition, he founded the educational center “Taj Danesh” in Ghor province, which remains active in university entrance exam preparation and has successfully renewed its operating license for three consecutive three-year periods through a professional team and structured management.
In 1403, he simultaneously taught at two private schools, Nasl-e-Farda and Orang and, during the winter season, at the Amo Educational Center (Kart-e-Naw). Currently, he actively teaches at Setaregan Zirak High School in the afternoon shift and at Nasl-e-Farda High School in the morning shift.
Mohammad Ahmadi has also taken significant steps to enhance his professional capacities by participating in various scientific and educational seminars, including:
• A ten-day capacity-building seminar at World Vision – Ghor
• Scientific seminars on Benjamin Bloom’s theories, Nonviolent Communication, and Marshall Rosenberg’s concepts
• The educational seminar “Keys to Teaching” taught by teacher Mohammad Hafezi-Nezhad
• A fifteen-day seminar on modern teaching methods during mid-term exams, under the instruction of teacher Morteza Motahhar at Nasl-e-Farda High School
Throughout his career, he has received numerous recognitions and awards from various institutions, including:
• Multiple certificates of appreciation from the Department of Education, Ghor Province, and active educational organizations during the republic period
• A certificate from CACSO for enhancing the capacity of teachers and 12th-grade students
• Teacher of the Year award from Rahnaward Noor High School
• Commendation for modern educational practices
• Recognition for his role as IT administrator at the Faculty of Science during his studies, from the ITCH center
He believes that classical education no longer meets the needs of today’s learners, as it is teacher-centered and limits student engagement. He advocates for a gradual shift toward modern teaching methods such as brainstorming, problem-solving, collaborative, project-based, exploratory, and laboratory-based approaches, where students are the main actors and teachers serve as facilitators.
Mohammad Ahmadi acknowledges that modern teaching faces challenges, including limited time, scarce educational resources, and misconceptions by school administrators regarding classroom management. Nevertheless, he emphasizes that the benefits—such as fostering creativity, enhancing learning motivation, and cultivating critical thinking—far outweigh these challenges.
