Biography
Masoma Parsa
Masoma Parsa was born in 1995 in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif. Her father, Mohammad Jafar, and her mother, Sharifa, played an important role in shaping her character and life path. A love for learning accompanied her from childhood, and this passion led her to succeed in the national university entrance exam in 2013, gaining admission to the Faculty of Language and Literature at Balkh University. Her years of study were enriched with academic and cultural experiences, including participation in various seminars and associations such as the three-month Women’s Leadership Seminar (organized by USAID) and membership in the Balkh University Writers’ Association, which further enhanced her academic and social abilities.
Alongside her studies, Parsa worked for two years as a teacher at Nikan Private School, where she also played an active role in the school’s cultural committee. After graduating in 2017, she moved to Kabul and, over the past seven years, has been teaching in private schools. Three of those years were spent at Goharshad Private School, where she taught Dari Language and Literature as well as Art. Since 2021, she has been teaching at Setaragan Zirak Private School.
Parsa believes that the greatest gift to children is the cultivation of self-esteem. She emphasizes that students who are aware of their own value can face life’s challenges with greater confidence and unlock their full potential. As a teacher, she is committed to creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment in which students feel valued and motivated to continue their educational journey.
Her passion for art, particularly painting, has been with her since childhood. She views art as a tool for expressing emotions, calming the mind, and generating new ideas. In her free time, she turns to pen and color to reflect the world of her imagination.
Masoma Parsa has always aspired for all Afghan children to have equal access to education and to grow into the intellectual and cultural assets of the nation.
